Considering Dior's reputation as a leading fashion brand, it's hard to believe that the best they could come up with for smartphones was a diamond-coated brick that they released in 2012. It's as if the company was too preoccupied with designing clothes and bags and stuff that it just left the design of this phone to the interns as a fun little project. But no intern should get a full-time job based on this slab. The Dior Reverie has been irritatingly described as 'haute couture', which is supposed to convince us that this is actually a fantastic fashion accessory of the highest order. Unsurprisingly, there are very few details on this Android phone apart from the fact that it contains 1,539 diamonds, 18-carat white gold specs and 46 pieces of mother-of-pearl. There is a 5 MP camera on-board, and you can 'explore the phone's functions on the LCD screen' - which Harrods apparently thinks is the most mind-blowing piece of technical information about the phone.
