4. Starting To Type A Message But Seeing Your Friend Is Typing, So You Stop, And So Do They

The moment you stop breathing. The conversation is ping-ponging along via WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger: and just as you're in the middle of replying, you see the message: 'So-n-So is typing a message'. Of course, you wait, because that's how you were brought up. Then you wait a little more. And then suddenly, they stop. Or even worse, if you're on Skype, they delete what they were going to say, never to be brought up ever again. There's also that handy little device that shows when someone has read an instant message: ruining all hope of ever ignoring anyone again.

3. Stalking Someone On Facebook And Accidentally 'Liking' Their Profile Picture

So you're just casually (definitely not manically, honest) browsing through the profile pictures of someone you vaguely know. Whilst you're deep in the photos from 2008, your finger accidentally clicks 'like'. Panic, imminent. UNLIKE! UNLIKE! Oh, they've already received the notification. You just crawl into your hole now, go pray for that massive black void to swallow you up. Oh, and while you're at it, you might as well chop your fingers off so this never happens again.
