1. Dungeons & Dragons
#1 is the king of all geeky games. It's Dungeons & Dragons, a game where you and a group of your friends sit around a table, telling a story, and rolling dice. It really doesn't have to be D&D for this to work. It can be any table-top RPG that utilizes a similar system. It all depends on personal taste really. I just used this because of the popularity, but I prefer Dragon Age. Also, in an attempt to be serious, if you gawk at this because of the stereotypical people that play games like these... you're missing out. It's a real fun time, and with a normal set of rules it can often be hilarious. More to the point, it's what the game boils down to that lends itself well to Strip Rules. As you progress through the game, characters take turns performing actions in different circumstances. It can be an encounter with an enemy, a puzzle, interacting with your fellow player, etc. The outcomes of these actions are defined by your character's stats in a specific area. So if I am trying to solve a puzzle, the stat in question might be my cunning. I would than make an attempt at solving the puzzle by rolling a set number of dies that either add or take away from my base stats. In opposition, the narrator / game master / dungeon master will also role dice to challenge your roll. There are different outcomes depending on the number, and all of this can change from encounter to encounter. Me? I really like to get into the game. Usually, I like to wear my Lannister Red Cloak cosplay outfit to the table and drink my ale out of the WoW, Tankard O' Terror*. It goes a long way to immersing yourself. So when my friends and I play, we also like to pretend that when we get in fights our armour / clothing can become damaged and un-wearable. The decision of this can come down to stat rolls or whatever you decide. Also, if you don't have any clothes on, you're not really going to be able to stand up against an Elder Dragon are you? Mage's get the best out of this, as they can have the ability to remove clothing with a spell if they are feeling a bit cheeky. Just about anything can be played with strip rules, not just the games we are accustomed to. Challenge yourself by being creative. If strip rules don't already exist for a game that the other players are aware of, you are already at an advantage. That just means that you get to make s*** up as you go. They are also, like Monopoly, a lot of fun when you are drinking. Operation, being a major exception to that... That is just frustrating. I also warn that naked dodgeball, while sounding badass, could potentially be a very painful experience.
