10 Problems Only People From London Ontario Will Understand

4. The Four Seasons Are Winter, Winter, Winter And Construction

When you live in Canada, even the most southern part of the country, you get used to the weather. While it's not as cold as places like Edmonton or Winnipeg out west, it's still pretty good for a lot of the year. The nicer weather - by that we're talking about t-shirts and shorts - starts in around May and lasts until August. By September you need a jacket, the snow starts in mid November and then you deal with snow through most of March. It's not like the weather is that bad in the spring or fall seasons, but they just feel so short because of the onset of winter weather. During that "nicer weather" period for four months you have to deal with another problem: construction. What happens during the winter is all the ice and snow destroys the roads. The city has to send out all these vehicles to fill up the potholes or repair the roads in general. That's the only time they can do it because the rest of the year we have to deal with the winter weather. Want to go on a long drive enjoying the nice weather without any distractions? Too bad. You usually bump into some construction somewhere along the way.
