10 Problems Only People From London Ontario Will Understand
3. When You Travel, Just Say "Toronto" Because Nobody Has Heard Of Us
Traveling is a lot of fun. Some people love it just to experience what it's like in other parts of the world whether it's in the United States, Europe, Asia, Australia or anywhere else. Whenever you go somewhere else, people will hear how you speak and inevitably ask where you are from. For those of us from London, you might have a conversation that goes something like this. "I'm from London." "Really? You don't sound like you're from England." "Oh no it's in Ontario in Canada." "Never heard of it." "It's near Toronto." "I've heard about Toronto. I hear it's lovely there." Then you just have to nod your head and move on at that point. It's not like London is a suburb of Toronto. Some people in London never go to Toronto while others go all the time. It's a matter of wanting to sit in that insane traffic or not. Trust me, if you've traveled enough like I have you just skip the "I'm from London" part of the conversation and simply say you're from a place near Toronto because you want avoid the small chat. We have over 360,000 people, yet if you go to some other country there's a very good chance that nobody has heard of us. It's definitely a little frustrating.
