7. They Control Too Much Already
Humans have made the world a very dangerous place, creating weapons of mass destruction that could pretty much wipe us all out. We've manipulated the environment with things like dams and nuclear power plants, and all those things are controlled by computers. Its basically like we put our enemy in control of every possible thing that could destroy us. While setting off nuclear weapons may be too destructive, the computer in charge would logically choose the weapon that would wipe out as many humans as possible without putting itself in danger. Once its calculated that,it will simply start the mass human extinction using our own weapon systems and power sources. Their first assault would be devastating, making the battle for earth a fast and efficient victory for the machines. After that, they could hunt down the rest of humanity either using drones that we have already built, or they could create their own form of a Terminator whose only goal is to ensure no humans are left alive.
