10 Reasons Why We Love Lego

2. Girls & Boys

600x300 WhatCulture Most toys are divided into 2 simple categories, boys or girls. Yet with Lego, it seems to be something that belongs to neither, falling in the rare 'Everybody' category. Although today they are trying to make sets more tailored for girls, I have always viewed Lego as a neutral toy. It's something you can get out and children of all ages and gender almost automatically know and want to play with it, and can easily entertain all for hours. Many consider a boy having a Barbie or a girl with a toy machine gun peculiar (Not that I think toys should be restricted to certain genders) yet to see either with Lego, perfectly ok.

1. Its Legacy & Future

600x300 WhatCulture Lego has had such an impact, it really is quite amazing for such a simple thing, from a small toy company to a world known, phenomenon. It will always be a toy that you fondly remember playing as a child creating (what seemed) fantastic builds, and something you still enjoy doing today, for pure pleasure. Lego always seem to have exciting projects ahead, whether its a new way to build, another excellent yet improved game and even films. Hopefully they will go on, creating and building, for years to come, effecting us all for good. So what do you love most about Lego? Is it still something you enjoy? Leave your thoughts below.

Living in Bristol, I work as a cleaner for Bristol University. When it comes to writing about the things I love, its hard to stop me going on and on. A big fan of Doctor Who and other Sci-Fi programs and films, I could watch them over and over.
