7. Doerr Wrote A Formula For A Bomb Like Zodiac's
Zodiac famously sent a letter to the San Francisco Chronicle on November 9th 1969 threatening to bomb a bus, which included a list of the items he would use to construct such an explosive device.
In Doerr's own zine Pioneer, he included a similar formula for building a bomb, also stating that it would need to be kept dry and leaving one item out just as Zodiac did: a starter.
In the very least, this confirms that Doerr had knowledge of explosive materials not unlike Zodiac. It's also far from the only weapons-based similarity between the two, as we'll be exploring further shortly.
