3. Natural Predators Would Eat Zombies Alive (Dead?)
The zombie survival rate would also be low because of natural predators that would feed on them. At their low rate of speed, theyd be prey for any and every large predator, such as bears, cougars, lions, jaguars, wolves and coyotes. Predatory animals seek out the weak and sickly in a horde, so every time a zombie loses a limb it bumbles closer to the precipice of consumption by a predator. Not to mention, that any that walk through water would attract aquatic predators such as fish, snakes and crocodilians. Which means the outbreak isnt spreading far in Australia or Florida. Additionally, insects would be drawn to the rotting zombies as incubation sources for their eggs, as well as food. The rot would be perfect for raising maggots or beetle larvae, and feeding mites and ants. Blowflies can smell death up to 160 meters away and would look at the zombie horde as larval Disneyland.
