6. Strange Clouds In Scotland Skies
Neil Borthwick of Ullapool, Scotland noticed some incredibly odd shaped clouds outside of his home. He snapped pictures of the disc-shaped phenomena and shared them with his friends on social media. It turns out that there might be more to these objects than the simple fluffy stuff that one would expect in the skies.
Facebook user William Topping added this insight to the image, "You might be laughing but these exact same cloud formations turned up on several different sites today and were witnessed at over 20 locations in the northern hemisphere, all within 60 minutes of each other....So much so, NASA took a whole load of them down within minutes of publishing."
So what is going on in the skies? It has been suggested that they are lenticular clouds but those are rare in the UK. And is there is any validity to the claim that the same occurrence happened in over 20 locations withing an hour of each other?
