8. Today Is The Future Date That Marty McFly Travels To
This ones been popping up every few months for the last couple of years now. An image is shared which purports to be that days date, saying that this is the day that Marty McFly travelled to in Back To The Future 2. Whats weird is that its a hoax: one that demands that a photo be edited every time with a new date; but one with no purpose. No ones getting anything out of it for going to the trouble of fixing the image with the new date, and the date itself is completely arbitrary. Its just a silly prank to catch people out. The other weird thing is that its being shared on Facebook by Back To The Future fans but Back To The Future fans who dont remember the date from the movie (which is fair enough if theyre not that geeky) but also dont recall that the first two movies run in increments of 30 years. Marty travels back 30 years in Back To The Future, from 1985 to 1955, and forward 30 years in Back To The Future 2, from 1985 to 2015. At any rate, 21st October next year is the only time that this hoax will actually not be a hoax and whats the betting thats the one date that no one shares it?
