10 Of The Most Ridiculous Lawsuits Ever Filed

1. Man Files Lawsuit Against The Guinness Book Of World Records For Naming Him As Person Who Has Filed The Most Lawsuits, Ever

Isn't it ironic? Jonathan Lee Riches was incarcerated at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, at the time when he filed a lawsuit against The Guinness Book Of World Records. Riches alleges that the company was printing false information in their 2010 edition of their record book, because they apparently had incorrect information about how many lawsuits he had filed. Riches says he has filed over 4,000 lawsuits. In fact, according to him, €œI€™ve filed so many lawsuits with my pen and right hand that I got arthritis in my fingers, numbness in my wrists, crooked fingers... I flush out more lawsuits than a sewer.€ Furthermore, he objects to the names that Guinness was planning on calling him in their publication. Some of these names include, but are not limited to: "Johnny Sue-nami," "Sue-per-man," and "Patrick Ewing of suing." Some of the people Riches has filed lawsuits against are New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, former President George W. Bush, Somali pirates, Britney Spears and Martha Stewart, Plato, Nostradamus, James Hoffa, "Various Buddhist Monks," the Eiffel Tower, Black History Month, and the butter substitute "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!" Jonathan Lee Riches said he was aware that he is receiving treatment for mental-health problems, but said that he still believes The Guinness Book Of World Records has no right to publish his "legal masterpieces." Did we miss any silly lawsuits you think deserve to be on this list? Share your thoughts below in the comments thread.
