10 School Lessons That Would Be Far More Useful Than Algebra

Everyone has a computer nowadays, and though you might have done a form of computer studies at school, there are still things that might have been useful to know. What sort of security do you need? How do you de-frag? How do you write a program? What problems can you fix at home? Which need an expert? How do I make a GIF? Fortunately the world is full of young YouTube-ers showing us how to do such things, but a good grounding in the basics would still have been really appreciated - especially when fixing your laptop means actually having to pop the hood and deal with the physical components. Because despite all being familiar and pretty internet savvy, most of us don't actually know how our computer works, but if we'd learned all that stuff at school, by now we could have been building our own computers!
