10 Secret Rooms Hidden In Famous Landmarks
5. Grand Central's Tennis Court
A train station is probably the last place you'd head to to work on your backhand, but New York's Grand Central has been home to a secret tennis club since the 1960s.
On the fourth floor of the transport hub lies the Vanderbilt Tennis Club, an exclusive sports venue where time on the courts can set you back up to $280 per hour.
The courts are located behind the the top portion of the terminal’s famous facade window, which many commuters have no doubt gazed up at without realising there's somebody getting a few rounds of tennis in on the other side.
The Vanderbilt Tennis Club isn't the only secret Grand Central has concealed over the years. The transport hub also plays host to a hidden speakeasy called Campbell’s Apartment, which officially reopened last year.
