Finally, we arrive at my favourite fact and one that I only discovered recently. In 2005, a man tried to convince the Home Secretary to either pardon Anne or declare her innocent for her supposed crimes, 469 years after she was convicted.

Before you think it, no it was not me, the old fool beat me to it!

The man in question was a former Battle of Britain veteran, who had fallen in love with Anne during his history lessons at school. How adorable is that? I hope one day to find this level of love and devotion to anything at all.

His proposal was of course laughed away but that does not matter. Bravo to you anonymous man, keep flying the flag for Queen Anne in her battle for justice.
