10 Shocking Secrets You Didn’t Know About Anne Boleyn’s Grisly Death

2. Ghostly Sightings

Now, for those interested in the supernatural, there have been several supposed sightings of Anne in different locations. Ghosts are believed to stick around when they have unfinished business, which definitely includes Anne.

Anne has been called the best travelled ghost in England as she has apparently been sighted regularly around Salle Church, The Tower of London, Blickling Hall, Marwell Hall and Hever Castle. All venues have played a part in Anne’s life, so it is believable that if she was indeed a ghost, those would be the places she goes to.

Quite scarily she is only seen as a headless ghost in these places. The creepiest tale comes from Blickling Hall, a venue built on top of the manor she was supposedly born in. As night falls on the anniversary of her death, she is said to ride up to the house in a coach drawn by a headless horseman, with her own head on her lap. As soon as it pulls up the coach disappears.

Whether you believe ghost tales is up to you. I have personally watched too many horror films to be visiting Blickling Hall any time in May.
