10 Tallest UK Buildings That Aren't In London

1. Beetham Tower - Manchester (554 Feet)

Beetham Tower is a 47 storey behemoth that stands as a mixed use skyscraper in the centre of Manchester, England. It was completed in 2006 and was designed by Ian Simpson. The building is very narrow, proportionally, due to the plot of land designated for construction and as such the building is much taller than other skyscrapers of similar scope. The tower, also known as the Hilton Tower, is the eleventh tallest building in the United Kingdom and around half of its floors are dedicated to the Hilton hotel that gives the tower its name.
