10 Tallest UK Buildings That Aren't In London
The heights aren't always in the capital, y'know.
London may have the most numerous, and the tallest of towers around the country, and indeed across most of Europe but that doesn't mean that other large cities around England and the rest of the United Kingdom do not have their own eye-wateringly tall facades dotting the skyline and often blocking out the sun. Indeed, although the top ten tallest buildings in the United Kingdom are all directly in central London, the eleventh is in fact housed in Manchester, and the twentieth in Liverpool, proving that the North of England has some life in her yet and that the companies that make it their business to construct these gargantuan properties are much more likely to do so in the North rather than stay confined in the capital where space is at such a premium. The ten largest skyscrapers outside of London have been compiled here for you, and if you want to have a feeling of dizzying height and the prospect of seeing the very curve of the Earth's horizon on a clear day then some of these towers will allow the public up to the rooftop to see the fantastic view for themselves. It is easier to gain access, of course, if you happen to be a Blue Peter presenter.
