10 Terrifying Vampire Stories For Halloween

2. The Vampire Brothers Of New Orleans

John and Wayne Carter were brothers who lived in New Orleans€™ French Quarter during the 1930€™s. The brothers kept to themselves but both had normal jobs and, as far as anyone was concerned, led normal lives.

However, this illusion was shattered when a young women ran to the local authorities claiming that she had just escaped from the Carter brother's apartment where they had been keeping her prisoner and feasting on her blood. The authorities immediately acted upon the allegations and raided the Carter€™s apartment. They found a further four girls imprisoned within, all of whom displayed wounds and evidence that the brothers had been drinking their blood.

The Carter brothers were both arrested and it is said that they both possessed such a strength that it took eight men to restrain them. After being found guilty of the abduction and murder of over fourteen women, the brothers were executed and buried in their family€™s vault.

Years later, the vault was revisited for the burial of another family member and to everyone's horror, the bodies of the Carter brothers were now nowhere to be found. In the years since, many eerie sightings of the murderous vampire brothers have been reported on the streets of New Orleans.
