Olivia's Vocab BlogIt's 10pm - the kitchen is closed, the tills are shut, all the tables are relayed ready for tomorrow - except for one. There is always one table who refuses to leave. They have finished their meals, and their dessert, and their drinks, and the bill is on their table. What are they waiting for? It's the painstaking task of the waitress to ask them to leave, several times, before they can go home themselves. What the customer doesn't realise, or doesn't care about - the waitress has been there for 9 hours. They're tired, dirty and in dire need of a sit down.
