10 Things Not To Do On The Underground

2. Don€™t Throw a Tantrum When You Miss the Train

The London underground is a different world to public transport above ground. Unlike missing a bus and having to wait twenty minutes for the next one, if you miss a tube train there will be another one along in the time it takes you to swear under your breath. So if you turn the corner to find the train doors closing don€™t draw attention to yourself by throwing a strop on the platform for all the regular tube travellers to see because the embarrassment will live on longer than it takes for the next train to pull up and whisk you off to your desired location. Alternatively, go ahead, throw a wobbler and when you calm down you might come back to the real world in time to the doors closing again and the next train pull away without you.
