9. Joe Gets Serious In His Sauna

Joe Rogan's love for his sauna has basically become something of a meme at this point, joining the variety of subjects worth listing on a Rogan bingo card as things that are discussed in just about every episode.

The UFC commentator first became aware of the purported advantages of sitting in the extreme heat from frequent podcast guest Dr Rhonda Patrick, and has since gone on to rave about the health benefits of the body producing heat shock proteins, even repeatedly claiming that they are beneficial in dealing with the current global situation.

It's perhaps unsurprising then that Joe and Tony got into a discussion about Saunas, where Joe mentions that he uses them every day on the recommendation of their mutual friend, famous big-wave surfer Laird Hamiton. Joe says that the wildman Hamilton cranks the heat in his sauna all the way up to 180c and then somehow proceeds to ride an airdyne bike.
