10. The Original Plan Was To Use Real Animals

When Walt Disney and his team of Imagineers came up with the idea for the Jungle Cruise, the plan was to use real animals but unfortunately, live animals are not that easy to control. Many of the more exotic animals would have been asleep during the day so there would be very little for visitors to see.

It was eventually decided that the ride would work much better if animatronic creatures were used instead. This guaranteed that guests would always get the best possible experience every time they took a trip.
