10 Things You Didn't Know About Jennifer Aniston

1. She Almost Quit Acting After Four Failed Shows In A Row

It seems strange to imagine a world in which Jennifer Aniston isn't a huge Hollywood star, but things almost turned out a whole lot differently for the actress. That's to say, there was a time in which a young, not quite so successful Jennifer Aniston considered throwing away her dreams of stardom because she couldn't catch a break. Indeed, four failed TV shows in a row would probably be enough to have anybody asking: "Is it me? Am I not supposed to be doing this or something?" Which is totally what happened to Jennifer, having featured in sitcoms Molloy, Ferris Bueller (a TV version of the famous John Hughes movie), The Edge and Muddling Through - none of which were successful in any capacity. Thus Aniston felt disillusioned with her career and flirted with the idea of just giving up. Instead of doing that, though, she opted for a different tactic in a last ditch attempt to make it big: she approached the head of NBC, Warren Littlefield, at a gas station in Los Angeles to discuss the ailing nature of her career. Obviously seeing something in the then discouraged future star, said meeting later led to Littlefield recommending her for a role on - would you believe it? - Friends. The rest, as they say, is history.
