10 Things You Didn't Know About Michelle Rodriguez

5. Rodriguez Originally Wanted To Be A Screenwriter And Not An Actor... And Already Has Two Ideas For Films She'd Like To Create

Rodriguez made her Hollywood breakthrough after starring as boxer Diana Guzman in the low-budget 2000 independent film "Girlfight", but acting was not her original intention when it came to the world of cinema. In fact, Rodriguez has admitted that she originally harboured ambitions of becoming a screenwriter and not an actor - and that she has ideas of films she would love to write. She already has two concepts she has started to work on. One of them is a "Jumanji-meets-Goonies" family film with an environmental twist, while the other is a potential American remake of the 1997 German screenplay "Bandits". Speaking about the second film, Rodriguez stated that it's "about four girls who break out of jail and get chased across the country by the feds and by this MTV-like representative". Will we soon be seeing Rodriguez stepping back from the acting and taking up her true passion of writing?
