10 Things You Didn't Know About Michelle Rodriguez

6. She Has Spent 26 Days In Jail During Four Separate Stints... But She Was Actually Sentenced To A Six-Month Prison Sentence In December 2007

Although she may have been kicked out of five separate schools, it is Rodriguez's regular brushes with the law that have proven to be more of a consistent and persistent issue. She has spent a total of 26 days inside because of her misdemeanours - the majority of which, somewhat ironically, have involved driving. First arrested for assault in March 2002, the alleged charges were dropped after her roommate decided not to take the case to court. However, just 18 months later and Rodriguez was up in court - this time accused of eight misdemeanour charges resulting from a hit-and-run and also driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI). In June 2004 she pleaded no contest to hit-and-run, driving with a suspended licence and drunken driving - resulting in a 48-hour jail sentence, community service at two New York hospitals, a three-month alcohol programme and she was also placed on probation for three years. Driving incidents continued to follow Rodriguez as she was cited for speeding in November 2005 while filming "Lost" in Hawaii - before being fined for again driving over the speed limit on two further occasions. Furthermore, she was pulled over in December 2005 and arrested for DUI - and she was forced to pay a $500 fine and spend five days in prison. Due to the fact she was also still on probation, she was also sentenced to 60 days in jail in LA - but was released on the same day she entered due to overcrowding. Finally, Rodriguez spent another 18 days inside after she allegedly violated her probation by not completing her community service or attending her alcohol-education programme. In October 2007, she was then sentenced to an 180-day jail sentence - but, after just 18 days at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, she was released (once agin due to overcrowding). Rodriguez fits the role of Letty Ortiz pretty well, doesn't she?
