Fiennes made headline news in 2007 after being caught leaving a plane lavatory with an aircraft attendant on a Qantas flight to India. Apparently the female attendant led Fiennes to the toilet after exchanging conversation, where they then indulged in some mile high club fun, while other crew members waited outside. Sydney-based Lisa Robertson was sacked following the claims, and later wrote an account of the sexual incident in graphic detail to the various media sources - perhaps in order for a payout, because she was apparently very much in debt at the time. Fiennes later stated through his media manager that he felt to be the victim of a sexual aggressor.
