3. He's Sympathetic Towards Those Having To Learn Shakespeare At School
As a noted Shakespearean interpreter and having been a key actor with the RSA, Fiennes is surprisingly laid back when it comes to people actually learning Shakespeare. He doesn't feel it's fair to dismiss people who state that they don't 'get' Shakespeare, or even have any interest in it. As someone who's had so much involvement in a variety of the playwright's plays from a very young age, he understands that learning the works can be incredibly complicated. He advises teachers to show earlier works of Shakespeare to pupils; and to encourage students to read from the pages in order to understand the characters. He said acting and getting up in front of people should be 'fun' and not a chore, or too scary. He'd probably make a brilliant teacher himself, come to think of it.
I love Stephen King and music festivals; I eat my toast upside down; I daydream about getting married probably a bit too much; and I wish every day for a pet sausage dog puppy (who never materialises – sob).
