So apparently before he became a comedian, Russell Brand was an aspiring boyband star. He auditioned for the band 5IVE, belting out Robbie Williams and George Michael tracks during his own audition. Russell confessed in a tabloid, I did audition for a boy band. That was pretty bad. I was only 20, I didnt know what I was doing and I was on drugs. I did some pretty crazy things on those drugs. In further cringeworthy admissions, Brand said he used a water bottle as a mic prop to impress the judges, I decided Id be less self-conscious if I held a water bottle and pretended it was my mic. It really was terribly embarrassing.
I love Stephen King and music festivals; I eat my toast upside down; I daydream about getting married probably a bit too much; and I wish every day for a pet sausage dog puppy (who never materialises – sob).
