Hubert, who played the role Aunt Viv between 1990 and 1993 in the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air spoke out about her ill-feelings towards Will Smith in 2011, after she chose not to reunite with the cast at a dinner due to her ill feelings towards him. She told TMZ: "There will never be a reunion... as I will never do anything with an asshole like Will Smith. He is still an egomaniac and has not grown up. This constant reunion thing will never ever happen in my lifetime unless there is an apology, which he doesn't know the word." Apparently he was unbearable on set, often unable to take criticism, and upon Hubert's departure, told other cast members to forget about Hubert and move on. Still, 2013 saw Hubert in another interview, claiming she'd like to put the past behind her, if only for the sake of her children and Smith's.
