10 Things You Didn't Know About Epcot

1. The Fountain Of Nations

The Fountain of Nations behind Spaceship Earth in Future World is quite special.

Existing since the opening day of Epcot, the fountain is appropriately named as 22 different nations each placed a gallon of water from their retrospective countries. Water was brought in from as far away as the Thames, the Seine and the Nile to help fill the fountain.

The Fountain is pretty impressive to watch. It uses over 200 shooters to send water into the air, all choreographed against music. If all the water shooters were to go off at once around 2,000 gallons of water would be in the air at that time.

Epcot's Fountain of Nations actually has something in common with the famous Bellagio Fountains. Mark Fuller who founded the company responsible with the design of the Las Vegas water display worked with Disney on Epcot's own fountain in the 1980's.

Fuller and his team are also responsible for fountains at Universal Orlando and the Dubai Fountains.
