9. America Sings Animatronics

To celebrate America's Bicentennial, Disneyland California created an attraction that celebrated America through song.

America Sings started as a cast of animatronic animals who took guests on a musical journey through the decades. Built in the old Carousel of Progress theatre the show was similar to its predecessor in that it was a theatre that rotated around a number of stages.

Becoming tired and out of place the ride was eventually closed, but not one to waste anything Disney decided to reuse some of the animatronics.

Splash Mountain opened only one year later and became the home for the majority of the animatronics from America Sings.

Two geese that didn't make it to Splash Mountain actually ended up being completely repurposed on Star Tours as droids.
