7. That Bit In World War Z When He Thought He Was Moses
Despite this picture being somewhat patchy in parts and with mixed to favourable reviews, it would turn out to be the highest commercial showing of Pitts career. But looking back retrospectively, why on earth would anyone even doubt that it would be? It has Brad Pitt and zombies in it. Brad Pitt vs Zombies. Come on, whats not to like? In fact it probably would have raked in revenue pushing into the billions if it had actually been titled, Brad Pitt vs Zombies. Still, it became the highest grossing zombie movie ever and if that isnt solely down to Brad then who knows what is? One of the highlights of the film is right at the tail end of it when our heroic protagonist injects himself with an infectious disease to deter a crowd of frenzied zombies from chewing his handsome head off. The incidental music crescendos; the images ease into slow motion and Brad breezes through them like a powerful religious prophet, parting them like the Red Sea and looking every inch the ravishing world saviour he may or may not end up actually being in real life. Seriously though, after watching that scene, if theres a zombie epidemic hell be the first person you get on the blower to.
