9. She Revealed Ron And Hermione Have A Dysfunctional Marriage
The romantic pairings at the end of Harry Potter have been the point of debate amongst fans for quite some time now. A more clichéd writer probably would have paired off Harry and Hermione, but in the end Harry fell for Ginny, and Hermione wound up with Ron. Opinions on these romantic resolutions are likely to be coloured by whether or not you're a bigger fan of the books or movies, but regardless, Rowling herself has expressed some regret over marrying off Miss Granger and Mr Weasley. Specifically, Rowling says she wrote the Hermione/Ron relationship as a form of wish fulfilment, and clung to it much longer than she probably should have. She also stated that the pair would need some serious marriage counselling and to work out their own personal issues if their relationship was ever to work.
