If you gotta go, you gotta go. In the tragic case of Jennifer Strange, however, she drank 7.5 litres of water without relieving her bladder. The 28-year-old woman from California was taking part in a radio competition "Hold Your Wee For A Wii", in which she came second, before dying of acute water intoxication. The game, which took place in 2007, was to see who could drink the most water without urinating, and 20 people took part to try win a Nintendo console. The operator of KDND FM was determined liable for Strange's death, after being told the contest could have fatal consequences, and Jennifer's family received £10million compensation.
