7. The Geek

They constantly occupy the library, to the point where they seem to have a reserved seat. They will certainly make the most of their studying opportunities, but may miss out on some of the social side. Never one to miss a nine am lecture, they are the keenest of students. This one is the antithesis of the previous entry, but shares some of the traits. Whereas the drug fuelled invaders to your front room may be irritating, a study group occupying your kitchen/living room/dining room is hardly pleasant. A conversation with one of these will leave you cowering with fear that you have missed all of the reading and will soon be removed from your course. The extracurricular activities may mean you feel as though you are being left behind, but in all honesty they are simply trying to get on the good side of lecturers. They may be the most vocal in a seminar, or they may be one of the most reserved people on your course, but do not fret. Studying is the reason you are at university, but half of your development will be through people skills as well as academic learning.
