Disembodied human feet have been washing up on the coasts of the Salish Sea and Washington since 2007. In total, around fifteen feet have been discovered, with only a few of them having been identified. The sheer number of dismembered feet defies explanation, although there a few individual cases that appear to have been solved. One foot was identified by Vancouver police as originally belonging to a depressed man that appeared to have committed suicide. The rest have been theorised as belonging to victims of the 2004 Asian Tsunami, other suicide jumpers, a plane crash near Quadra Island, or the works of a serial killer. No concrete explanation has ever been given though, and feet are still being washed up to this day.
