Would you believe that even those maths teachers who made you suffer every Monday morning receive more Valentine's cards than you?

Honestly, we never recall being so enamoured with a teach (mathematics or not) that we splurged our cherished pocket money on a Valentine's Day gift for them. It's surprising to learn any teenager would feel inclined to hit the shops and purchase a romantic card solely for their high school lecturer.

Unless every professor in school just so happens to be Dewey Finn from School Of Rock or Indiana Jones inspiring saucy eyelid fluttering from the front row, it's hard to see this one being true. According to the Independent Mail, it is.

On average, those crafty teachers get way more Valentine's wishes than girlfriends/boyfriends, wives/husbands, mothers and young children every year.
