Ever wondered what the world record for the longest golf drive is? 400metres? Even 450 perhaps? Wrong! It is in fact (roughly) one-million miles... Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Tyurin hit a three-gram golf ball using a gold-plated six-iron club back in November 2006 while tethered to the outside of the International Space Station. Despite shanking his shot - while he was held down on a makeshift tee-box by his mission commander - it is believed the cosmic drive travelled around one-million miles before de-orbiting and burning up in the Earth's atmosphere. Not that really is cool.
