10 Worst Celebrity Undercover Disguises That Fooled Nobody

6. Jim Carrey

Back in 1999 Jim Carrey was another star who was at the top of his game. The eccentric always-likeable actor was fresh out of both Ace Ventura movies, and his rubber-faced antics had the entire western hemisphere in hysterics. Thus when he showed up at the 1999 MTV Awards sporting one hell of an awesome beard and long hair, we all knew it wasn't for real. I can't be alone in wishing for a proper beatnick-fronted flick where Carrey could indulge in his craziest stoner-fantasies, for now this is the best we've got. Someone give the Coen Brothers a shout, and get Jeff Bridges back for a Big Lebowski sequel, I'm sure we could Kickstarter a fair whack of cash to get this off the ground. Jim Carrey is a guy who's made a career out of playing some of the most over-the-top characters ever seen (at the time anyway), and we weren't about to believe he'd suddenly sprouted enough hair to make Chewbacca jealous.
