11 Genius Kickstarter Projects That You Should Get Behind

1. Makerarm - The Must-Have Household Robot Or The Beginning Of The Uprising?

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1849283018/makerarm-the-first-robotic-arm-that-makes-anything?ref=category Combining 3D printer with assembly line robot and domestic helper, the Makerarm is a personal "doer of things" for your home. So long as you don't mind moving the world ever closer to the inevitable robot uprising, this could be the product for you. It can 3D print, laser, carve, plot, assemble, pick and place. You can programme it from any of your devices and you can even tell it to feed your pets. It can even collaborate with other Makerarms to perform more complex tasks. We were unable to reach the inventors for comment as to whether it's likely to take over you home and strangle you in your sleep, but it's probably worth the risk anyway to be able to monogram literally everything you own with a frickin' laser. The Makerarm is being marketed as the robotic arm that can make anything, anywhere. Anything, anywhere. You could just set it off in the morning and come home to a new laptop, a new 3D printed toy for your kids (or yourself), hell, you could probably get it to decorate your Christmas tree if you really wanted to. With 3D printing currently threatening to be the next big thing in household appliances, could this be the next step on from that already? If technology like this becomes the norm then it could quite seriously revolutionise the manufacturing industry, allowing companies to eliminate shipping costs and expensive factories by simply emailing you a product's blueprints for you to produce at home. Plus, you know, you get to live in the future than we were all promised. Check out the Kickstarter page here. Anything here catch your eye?
