5. The Gibbons Sister Who Died So Her Twin Could Live
The story of the June and Jennifer Gibbons prove that there really is a fine line between love and hate. The twins completely isolated themselves from everyone they knew when they were growing up, including their family and friends. They made up their own secret language for one another so no one would know what they were talking about, they would meticulously record all of their thoughts and dreams into their journals, but as they grew older, their love turned into hatred. The girls committed some petty crimes and when they were sentenced, they were diagnosed with multiple personality disorders and were sent to a psychiatric hospital. Over the fourteen years that they spent in there, the girls became exceedingly more violent with one another and they realised that they wouldn't be able to have a long and happy life as long as they were both alive. Jennifer volunteered to kill herself so that June would be able to live a healthy life back in society. Jennifer died of a sudden inflammation of the heart and as there weren't any traces of drugs or poison in her system, her death is a mystery. June is now living in Wales and has since been accepted back into society.
