8. Jabari The Gorilla Escapes From His Enclosure And Goes On The Rampage (Dallas, 2004)

Western Lowland Gorilla Gif At 22-stone, Jabari the western lowland gorilla was hardly the most athletic animal in Dallas Zoo in Texas, USA, back in March 2004 - yet he still managed to escape from its enclosure and then attack four people. Stuck in a two-acre conservation area surrounded by a five-metre-high concave wall, Jabari somehow escaped from his enclosure before attacking four people - including a three-year-old child named Rivers Heard. The gorilla lifted the child, placed him between his jaws and gnawed on his head and chest, causing severe injuries, before Jabari was shot and killed by a police S.W.A.T. team.
