8. It Takes Hours To Dry
Blowdrying your hair only makes it do what brushing does: transforms it into freeze. Which means your alternative is waiting for it dry alone, to turn into long cylindrical curls naturally by itself. While it's not too bad doing this during the summer (humidity doens't exactly help though), leaving your wet hair to dry in the winter is pure hell. Towel drying it doesn't seem to take any of the moisture out. You could quite easily wash your hair in the morning, go to work with it wet, and return home in the evening to find your hair still just as damp. It's like the water just lives in there, in that curly mass on your head. No wonder you're prone to colds; you probably haven't had bone dry hair since the day you were born.
