11 Random Objects That Turned Their Owners Into Millionaires

3. Obscure Art Collection

Found: Newly-bought house Value: $30,000,000 A couple of New York homeowners were given the option of buying a dusty collection of artwork for $2,500, on top of the $300,000 price tag of the house itself. After framing and having each work appraised, it soon became clear that this was the best investment of their lives. The paintings were by the (then) little-known Arthur Pinajian, who had received zero attention or commercial interest while alive. Amazingly, the collection has been valued at $30,000,000, and individual pieces have already been sold off for over half a million each.
