This year theme park fans are in for an EPIC time.

Universal Orlando Resort is opening a brand new theme park this May 22nd, the appropriately titled Epic Universe. The park will feature 5 lands, each one packed full of roller coasters, immersive experiences and fabulous food options from the biggest franchises in the world of film and gaming.

Featuring portals that will transport you from one land to another you will venture to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - The Ministry of Magic, How to Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk, Dark Universe and Super Nintendo World. All of these lands lead off from Celestial Park, an original creation that is intriguingly themed to the stars and constellations.

With a name like Epic Universe, it's clear that Universal has gone all out with this new park. There are multiple rides with technology we've never seen before including huge, duelling coasters that race across the skyline and even life sized dragons soaring through the air. There are hotels with literally Epic views. You can ride an elevator that goes in EVERY direction, come face-to-face with monsters and even battle Bowser!

Epic Universe will be the first Universal theme park to open in Orlando since 1999 and we can't wait. It's now just a few more months before Epic Universe finally opens its doors to fans on 22nd May 2025,

With Epic Universe so close and Universal Orlando Resort's Team Members already getting previews of the new park, it seemed only right that we take a look at just what you can expect to find at the park.

Unlike Universal's other US parks, Epic Universe will have a slightly different layout. Known in the theme park world as a wheel and spoke design, you will access the different lands from the centre of the park. Epic Universe's central area is called Celestial Park.

These different lands will be accessible through "portals." These themed entrances will be the way that you will visit the lands and then return to Celestial Park before continuing your journey to other areas.

We love the idea that Epic Universe will "transport" you into the different places, keeping each land separated from the other, making the lands even more immersive!
