Most tech manufacturers have a tendency to ship by sea rather than air, due to the lower up-front costs associated. Apple ship all of their stock by air, and are Cathay Pacific's biggest freight customers by a significant amount. Apple do this because it significantly reduces the amount of time it takes for stock to ship. For example, while freight by sea would take 30 days to China from the US, it only takes 15 hours by air. This way, money invested in stock gets a return for the company far more quickly.
