11 Things You Need To Know About Universal Orlando's Skull Island: Reign Of Kong

2. It's Creepy (But Family Friendly) - And It's Long

The footage shown in teasers so far has suggested that some of the creatures you'll encounter right from the off are the stuff of nightmares (particularly if you're not a big fan of spiders), but there's a suggestion that their barks might be a little worse than their bites. That's if spiders bark, of course. Universal have been very keen to keep the ride accessible to all ages, with a height requirement of only 34 inches. You have to suspect that the scare factor - in that respect - will also suit the height expectations of the guests. So don't expect to jump too far out of your seats. Excitingly, Mike West has also confirmed that the ride will be around 30% longer than normal rides. Most clock in around 4 minutes, but Reign Of Kong will last a comparatively massive 6 minutes or so. That's a lot of monkey for your buck.
