This is exactly what has happened to Eminem for nearly 15 years now, with the most recent rumour being that the rapper was stabbed four times in New York, a story circulating from absolutely no factual basis, other than the fact that people can get stabbed in New York, and some of them will have the letter "M" in their name multiple times. The response Eminem gave to reports that he'd been killed in a car crash in 2000 is our favourite, as he was in full Slim Shady persona at the time. He released a statement on his website assuring us that the rumour was sparked by a "sick ne'er do-well", and that not only was Slim alive and well, but he also found the goodness in his heart to wish us "shady Holidays and a dirty new year."
