12 Lies You Believed As A Child

1. Santa Was Real

Santa. Saint Nick. Santa Claus. Father Christmas. Fat Man. You loved the idea of Santa and still do, but the moment you realised that Santa wasn't real was probably the worst moment of your entire existence. Your parents have literally lied to you for years and years (you're twenty seven) and you can't believe that the magic is gone from the world. Every year, the cookies and beer that you put out would be gone and you thought "why, santa must have been extra hungry this year. Well, he does have a very stressful job..." Santa, the Easter Bunny, the tooth fairy; apparently when you become a parent, you become an expert liar. At least it'll help your poker face. If you have any other lies that your parents told you as a child, re-live them by writing them in the comments below.
